ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Artists who are selected for an in-person audition should be prepared to sing two contrasting arias in any language and one musical theater selection/songbook standard in English.

Participating in these auditions may not result in a specific casting offer or other performance opportunity in the 2025/26 season. These are general LA Opera Connects auditions that provide an opportunity for our team to get to know a wider range of artists for possible future projects. All performers are invited to apply, and we encourage you to share your work with us.

Please note that some of the performance opportunities are positions represented by the labor union the American Guild of Musical Artists (AGMA) and require artists to join AGMA if they are not already members. Artists who receive an offer for an AGMA-covered position and would like more information about membership requirements will be directed to an AGMA representative for assistance.

This is an audition notice. Applicants must be 18 years of age. If employment is offered, this offer is contingent upon artists providing documents to demonstrate eligibility to work in the United States as well as clearing a background check through the Department of Justice and providing a negative TB test result.
