Patti LuPone, who recently received critical acclaim for her performances in Agatha All Along on Disney+ and opposite Joaquin Phoenix in Ari Aster’s film Beau is Afraid, is a three-time Tony Award winner for her performances as Joanne in Company, Madame Rose in Gypsy and the title role in the original Broadway production of Evita. Her New York stage credits include War Paint (Tony, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Award nominations), Shows for Days, The Seven Deadly Sins (New York City Ballet), Company (New York Philharmonic), Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown (Tony, Drama Desk, OCC Award nominations), Sweeney Todd (Tony, Drama Desk, OCC nominations), Noises Off, The Old Neighborhood, Master Class, Anything Goes (Tony nomination, Drama Desk Award), Oliver!, Accidental Death of An Anarchist, The Water Engine and The Robber Bridegroom (Tony and Drama Desk nominations).

Tony, Grammy, and Olivier Award-winning lyricist, director, writer and conceiver, Scott Wittman most recently earned a Tony Award nomination as lyricist of the new musical Some Like It Hot, written with creative partner Marc Shaiman. He and Shaiman most recently returned to Broadway in the spring of 2025 with the new musical Smash.

He co-wrote the lyrics for the hit musical Hairspray (Tony, Grammy, Olivier Award-winner) with Shaiman, and he also served as an executive producer on the hit film adaptation starring John Travolta. He was nominated for a Golden Globe, Grammy and two Emmy Awards for the original songs on NBC’s musical drama Smash. While working on the show, he co-wrote songs for Jennifer Hudson, Uma Thurman, Bernadette Peters, and Liza Minnelli. Shaiman and Wittman’s original score for the Marilyn Monroe musical Bombshell was released by Sony Records.

Scott and Marc’s Broadway writing credits include Martin Short: Fame Becomes Me, which Scott also directed, Catch Me If You Can (Tony nomination for Best Musical), and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory on Broadway and the West End.

Scott has created and directed two Broadway shows, three studio recordings, and three sold-out Carnegie Hall concerts for Patti LuPone. He has created solo shows for Christine Ebersole and Nathan Lane, as well as writing for Bette Midler’s 2015 Divine Intervention world tour.

Off-Broadway, he conceived and directed Jukebox Jackie starring Justin Vivian Bond, Cole Escola and Bridget Everett at La Mama, and Bridget Everett’s Rockbottom at the Public Theatre. His notorious and legendary downtown shows are in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York. Marc and Scott also wrote the score to Disney’s Mary Poppins Returns starring Emily Blunt, Lin-Manuel Miranda, and Meryl Streep, and directed by Rob Marshall. Their song “The Place Where Lost Things Go” was nominated for an Oscar. He joined the Marvel Universe with the song "Save the City," co-written with Marc, for Rogers: The Musical in the 2021 Marvel Studios Disney+ miniseries Hawkeye.

Joseph Thalken was music director and arranger for Patti LuPone: A Life in Notes in 2024 and returns for Patti LuPone: Matters of the Heart in 2026.

Joseph Thalken is an award-winning composer, conductor and pianist whose theater and concert works have been performed internationally. Recent recordings include Baby Face Nelson and the Femme Fatale, recorded by the Temple University Wind Symphony and his ballet, Chasing Home, played by the Dallas Chamber Symphony, available on all streaming platforms. He is the composer of the musicals Was, Harold & Maude, Fall of ’94, Borrowed Dust and Inventions for Piano. His concert works encompass chamber, choral, orchestral, wind ensemble and vocal music as well as composing music for the podcast Radio Play Revival.

In addition to his collaborations with Patti LuPone, he has served as music director and/or arranger for luminaries of Broadway and classical music, including Julie Andrews, Liza Minnelli, Bernadette Peters, Renée Fleming, Rebecca Luker, Marin Mazzie, Liz Callaway, Sierra Boggess, B.J. Ward, Catherine Malfitano, Elizabeth Futral, Kristin Chenoweth, Sally Wilfert, Polly Bergen, Faith Prince, Hugh Panaro, Michael Crawford, Howard McGillin, Jason Danieley, Nathan Gunn, Rod Gilfry, Brian Stokes Mitchell and many more.

He has taught music theater composition at Yale and is a proud graduate of Northwestern University.

Will Curry enjoys a diverse career as a music director, conductor, violist, violinist and educator. Recently, Will was the associate conductor/violist for Lincoln Center Theater’s revival of Floyd Collins and has served as music director/conductor for the national tours of Les Misérables, My Fair Lady and Miss Saigon. Will has conducted and played over a dozen Broadway shows, including Merrily We Roll Along, Fiddler on the Roof, Camelot, My Fair Lady, and Les Miserables.

Will is the founder, artistic director, and second violinist of the Broadway Strings and has taught violin at Friends Seminary, the Elisabeth Morrow School, and Silver Music. He is a teaching artist with Broadway Imagined and has taught master classes at UCLA, the University of Northern Colorado, Michigan State University, Arizona State University, and Northwestern University.

A graduate of Northwestern University, Will studied with Roland Vamos and Victor Yampolsky.

Molly Goldman is a versatile violist based in New York City, known for her dynamic performances across a wide spectrum of musical genres. Her musicianship has brought her to iconic stages such as Carnegie Hall, Radio City Music Hall, Alice Tully Hall, and other notable venues. With a deep love of musical theater, she has performed in more than two dozen Broadway productions and currently plays in the orchestra for Ragtime at Lincoln Center Theater.

Molly is the managing director and proud violist of The Broadway Strings, an ensemble that blends virtuosic classical performance with the glamour of musical theater. A dedicated educator, she is a Suzuki violin and viola teacher at Silver Music in Manhattan. Molly holds an undergraduate degree in applied music and music education from the Eastman School of Music and a master’s degree in viola performance from The Juilliard School.

Suzy Perelman has performed in the orchestras of over 40 shows on Broadway. A former member of the Utah and San Antonio Symphonies, Suzy performs in orchestra and chamber music concerts regularly throughout the New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania area. Recent venues include New York City's Geffen Hall as well as Radio City Music Hall where she is the concertmaster of the Christmas Spectacular starring the Rockettes. Suzy is the first violinist of The Broadway Strings, a small ensemble that specializes in performing Broadway repertoire. During the pandemic, Suzy established Concerts in the Courtyard, a free outdoor concert series open to the public in front of her brownstone in New York City. During the warmer months, Suzy performs in those concerts in her courtyard every three weeks or so.

Jessica Wang is a cellist based in New York City. Currently, she is the cellist in the Tony-award winning musical, Maybe Happy Ending, as well as a founding member of the Broadway Strings. Other Broadway credits include Bob Fosse's Dancin' and Jagged Little Pill, and Off-Broadway credits include Bat Boy (New York City Center), The Gardens of Anuncia, Between the Lines, Notes from Now, We're Only Alive for a Short Amount of Time and Pericles. Jessica has also toured the country with the first North American company of An American in Paris and has played with the Radio City Christmas Spectacular orchestra during past holiday seasons. In the television world, Jessica has performed on Saturday Night Live, The Tonight Show, The Kelly Clarkson Show and The View. Jessica holds a B.A. in psychology from Harvard College and an M.M. in cello performance from The Juilliard School.
