Performances & events for all ages
Experience opera in a new way.
Live broadcasts under the stars, child-friendly shows incorporating famous arias, interactive opera for babies, and informative lectures to give you a deeper understanding of the music, plot, and history of the art form.
Free Opera Simulcasts
Live from the LA Opera stage to a screen near you.
Thanks entirely to the generous support of LA County Supervisors, simulcast time is upon us again! We’re over the moon to present Puccini’s masterpiece Madame Butterfly on Saturday, September 21. For those who don’t know, a simulcast is a high-definition broadcast that livestreams world-class performances right from our stage at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion.
Before a 50-minute interactive opera performance, join us in the lobby for arts and music activities designed to bring your child into a world of creativity (and we think they'll have a blast, too).
Created for babies ages 6–18 months, BambinO tells a story about the joys of parenthood and watching your baby grow up and learn to soar on their own, with sensory props and an entrancing blend of musical styles.
