TICKET EXCHANGES

Change of plans? Looks like rain? Surprise visit from the in-laws? No problem: you can exchange your tickets up to 48 hours before a performance by logging in to your account or by calling the Box Office at 213.972.8001 ext. 0. Additional fees and restrictions may apply, and exchanges may be subject to a seating price increase. Subscribers can exchange their tickets to any mainstage performance with zero fees. Emergency exchanges made between 2-48 prior to a curtain can only be completed in person or by phone. Ticketholders can also make a tax-deductible donation of the value of their ticket back to LA Opera.

LOST TICKETS

Call the Box Office at 213.972.8001 to have new tickets ready at Will Call for a fee of $2 per ticket. Can’t find your digital tickets? Log in to your account here and click “My Tickets” or give the Box Office a call to have them re-sent.

DONATING YOUR TICKETS

If you are unable to attend a performance, please consider donating your tickets to LA Opera for resale by calling the Box Office, or by mail/fax. Tickets must arrive one hour before curtain time on the day of the performance to be considered a donation. You will receive a receipt and the value of your tickets will be acknowledged as a charitable contribution, but the amount will not be applied toward donor benefits.

GROUP TICKETS

Looking for a night out with a dozen of your closest friends? We’d love to have you. LA Opera offers special pricing of 20% off all evening performances for groups of 10 or more. Group tickets can be purchased by calling the Box Office at 213.972.8001.

YOUTH TICKETS

Alright, so the tragedies might be a little intense, but we love having kids at the opera, and even offer discounted pricing. Since many performances contain adult subject matter, we suggest that parents check the webpage of the opera they are considering attending for any content advisories as well as the opera synopsis.

We welcome budding opera fans 9-17 years of age, and offer half-priced tickets when you book through the Box Office at 213.972.8001.

Our mainstage operas are not suitable for children under 9, and you will not be allowed into the theater with a very young child. Although you can still watch from the lobby, you will likely enjoy the performance better if you leave the little ones at home. Instead, bring your tot to Saturday Mornings at the Opera or explore our family-friendly programming here.

ENHANCE YOUR EXPERIENCE

Get the full story by joining other operagoers at our complimentary pre-opera talks at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion. Experts will break down an opera's history and plot, and even preview key musical moments for audiences to look forward to.

Join us an hour before each opera in Eva and Marc Stern Grand Hall, located on the second floor of the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, or watch anytime by clicking here.

AUDIENCE SAFETY POLICIES

The health and safety of our audiences, performers, and staff is our first priority. Since we practice music, not medicine, our policies follow the mandates and guidance of the LA County Department of Health.

Currently, masks are encouraged but not required indoors at LA Opera. If you would prefer to wear a mask during the performance, they will be available at the door. Proof of vaccination or proof of a negative COVID-19 test are no longer required to attend performances.

You can view our full safety protocols here.

THE FINE PRINT

We traditionally offer refunds for tickets in the event a performance is canceled. If you have tickets to a performance from the 2019/20 season that was canceled due to COVID-19, the amount paid for your tickets was automatically placed on your LA Opera account. Please check your email for information or contact the Box Office at customerservice@laopera.org or 213.972.8001.
