A Note from Javier Camarena
What a joy to return to my beloved LA Opera and sing a new recital for the wonderful audience, accompanied by the great Maestro Ángel Rodríguez. On this occasion we present a beautiful and versatile program with four distinctly defined parts: Italian opera, French opera, zarzuela and Mexican songs.
We will try to take our audience on a musical journey that goes from Bellini’s bel canto, through French romanticism and the joyful “jotas” of zarzuela, to the proud songs of José Alfredo Jiménez and who knows? Maybe some other surprises too...
I sincerely hope you enjoy this program, these wonderful arias, romanzas and songs, the electrifying arrangements of Maestro Rodríguez, all thought of and prepared with much love for all of you.

Qué regocijo volver a mi querida LA Opera y cantar para ese público maravilloso un nuevo recital, acompañado por el gran maestro Ángel Rodríguez. En esta ocasión les presentamos un hermoso y versátil programa con cuatro partes perfectamente definidas: ópera italiana, ópera francesa, zarzuela y canción mexicana.
Intentaremos llevar a nuestro público por un viaje musical que va desde el bel canto Belliniano, pasando por el romanticismo francés y las alegres “jotas” de la zarzuela, hasta las orgullosas canciones de José Alfredo Jiménez y ¿quién sabe? Quizás alguna otra sorpresa…
Espero de corazón que disfruten de este programa, de las maravillosas arias, romanzas y canciones, delos electrizantes arreglos del maestro Rodríguez, todo pensando y preparado con mucho amor para todos ustedes.
