Open Auditions for AGMA Members:
Open auditions for principal singer positions for AGMA members will take place on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, from 10am to 5pm at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion. AGMA members will be singing for Paul Hopper (Senior Director, Artistic Planning.) 

Auditions are by appointment only.  To request an audition time, please submit a response to the Google form here. (This google form will go live at 12pm PST on Tuesday, May 6.) Please submit your response no later than 12:00 PM PST on Tuesday, May 20, 2025.

If an audition appointment is available and you are scheduled for an audition, you will be contacted via email with confirmation and additional instructions including directions, parking, audition repertoire and material requirements, accompanist, etc. Specific times for audition requests will be considered. However, we may not be able to accommodate every request, and we thank you for your understanding. 

West Side Story principal artist auditions:
Click here to learn about applying for audition. Auditions (by invitation only) will take place on May 21 and 22. Staging rehearsals begin on August 21, and performances will take place from September 20 to October 12.

Domingo-Colburn-Stein Young Artist Program:
Auditions for the 2025/26 season are now closed. Information on auditioning for the 2026/27 season will be posted on this website in 2025.

LA Opera Chorus:
The application deadline for LA Opera's 2025/26 season chorus auditions has closed. If you have been impacted by the recent fires and were unable to submit your application by the deadline, please email Production Manager Jasna Gara at jgara@laopera.org.

Dancers and Supernumeraries:
Auditions are held as needed. Please email submissions@laopera.org if interested in applying.
