Pre-performance talks
Pre-Performance Talks for the 2025/26 season
One hour prior to every performance of Falstaff at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, join James Conlon in the Eva and Marc Stern Grand Hall for a pre-performance talk, or listen to the recorded talk on LA Opera Connects' Behind the Curtain podcast.
An enormously popular highlight of the LA Opera experience, you'll learn about the history and plot of Verdi's Falstaff, as well as key musical moments to look forward to. Admission to the pre-show talk is included with your ticket to the opera.
Be sure to join us after the matinee performance on Sunday, April 26 for a special post-show conversation with Music Director James Conlon and celebrated actor, comedian, and author Stephen Fry.
Interested in learning more? Listen to past pre-performance talks via our Behind the Curtain Podcasts and YouTube channel.
