Auditions

Dancers and Supernumeraries
Auditions are held as needed; see below for casting notices for The Magic Flute and Roberto Devereux. Check this page for future audition notices. To be considered for a role as dancer and/or supernumerary, please send a headshot and resume to mtosto@laopera.org. Supernumeraries must be 18 years or older. Any offer of employment is contingent upon the ability to provide documentation of the right to work in the United States.

Casting one male supernumerary for The Magic Flute
Non-speaking, Non-singing roles.  All ethnicities considered. Acting experience/training required; movement experience a plus. 
1) Any age. 
2) Height: 5’11”-6’1” (ideally 6’)
3) Measurements: Chest 38”-40”. Waist 30”-34”
4) Must be comfortable in bald cap and full face of stage makeup.
5) Must be comfortable in a mask

**SCHEDULE
Costume fittings: September 30 – October 4, 2019
Staging rehearsals begin: October 28, 2019 (mostly evenings and weekends, some afternoons)
Onstage rehearsals:  November 6, 7, 9, 12 2019 (all day)
Final dress: November 14, 2019
Performances:  November 16, 21, 23, December 1, 12, 15 2019

CONTRACT
Non-Union
Parking and program credit provided. 
$15/hr rehearsals and fittings. $75 per performance (including Final Dress).

Must be Latino.
Looking for someon with 3"-6" long hair.
Must be clean shaven for all dress rehearsals & performances.
Measurements:
Height: approximately 5’9”
No measurements required.

**SCHEDULE

Onstage rehearsals: February 11, 12, 15, 18, 2020 (all day)
Final dress: February 19, 2020
Performances:  February 22, 27, March 1, 5, 8, 14, 2020
