Todd A. Hawkins
For more than two decades, Todd A. Hawkins has been a trusted advisor to leaders across business, philanthropy, entertainment, and public life. Leaders at the highest levels rely on his diplomacy, expertise, strategic insight, and relationships.
A native Angeleno and graduate of the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television, Todd founded The Todd Group, which produced major cultural, corporate, nonprofit, and political events for institutions including Cedars-Sinai, Nielsen, Warner Bros., and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. In 2014, he co-founded Hawkins Mikita, a social impact agency that advised artists including Cyndi Lauper, America Ferrera, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Common, and Jason Mraz on aligning their platforms with purpose.
In 2020, after building two companies of his own, Todd became Executive Vice President of The Hawkins Company, his family’s management consulting and executive search firm. There, he leads C-suite and board searches and counsels organizations, executives, public figures, and private clients through growth, crisis, and change.
His civic and philanthropic commitments run deep. Todd is President of the Board of the California African American Museum and a National Board Member of the Human Rights Campaign (HRC). He also serves on boards and councils for the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television, MLK Community Health Hospital, LA Opera, Everybody Dance LA, and others.
In public life, he served on Mayor Karen Bass’ Transition Advisory Team and chairs the African American Leadership Council of the DNC National Finance Committee. He has also held finance leadership roles for the presidential campaigns of Kamala Harris and Barack Obama.
Whatever the challenge, Todd’s approach is the same: listen closely, bring the right people together, make an impact, and get it done.
