Whitney McAnally
In her eighth season as Production Stage Manager, Whitney is proud to once again to lead this excellent team of stage managers, assistant stage managers and assistant directors at LA Opera. Beyond her administrative duties, Whitney also stage manages shows for LA Opera, including Candide, Nabucco and Turandot throughout the 2026/27 season. During her 15-year tenure at LA Opera, she has worked on over 40 productions, including Akhnaten, Ainadamar, West Side Story, Eurydice, Omar, The Ghosts of Versailles, Aida, and El Último Sueño de Frida y Diego.
Whitney currently spends her summers stage managing at Santa Fe Opera (10 seasons). Other companies Whitney has worked with across her theater and opera career include Los Angeles Philharmonic (Walt Disney Concert Hall and the Hollywood Bowl), Cincinnati Opera (15 summer seasons), Milwaukee Repertory Theater (10 seasons), Washington National Opera, Boston Lyric Opera, Dallas Opera, Atlanta Opera, Utah Shakespeare Festival, Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, among others across her 26 years as a professional stage manager.
A proud graduate of Texas Tech University, Whitney and her husband Raymond are happy to call Los Angeles their home.
