Sal Malaki joined the LA Opera Chorus in 1995, where he also became a regular member of the LA Master Chorale since 1995.

He has been a featured soloist with both organizations. He graduated from the University of the Philippines with two majors: Bachelors Degree (BM) in Voice and a Teacher’s Diploma in Flute. He performed the role of Crisostomo Ibarra in the Filipino opera <em>Noli Me Tangere</em> presented in New York, Washington DC and Manila.
