With your help, we can provide support for the hundreds of artists and staff whose work and livelihood have been impacted as a result of the COVID-19 outbreak.
The power of opera stems from the fact that nearly every aspect of each and every production is lovingly created by hand, instrument or voice.
With a full orchestra and chorus, stagehands, singers, designers, costumers, technicians and more, each opera we produce employs 300-500 people.
The LA Opera Relief Fund will provide much needed relief for those impacted by production cancellations and will help us continue to support our community during this unprecedented time.
Have tickets for a cancelled performance? Please consider donating the cost of your tickets to the LA Opera Relief Fund. Ticket donations are fully tax-deductible and count towards membership in the Friends of LA Opera and Patrons of LA Opera.
To donate your tickets please click the below link or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org with "Donate My Tickets" in the subject line.
While our stages are temporarily dark, we have redirected our attention and care to offer the comfort, solace, and joy of opera from the safety of your home. It’s our modest contribution to help our community during this disorienting time. Efforts include:
- #LAOAtHome, which consists of Living Room Recitals, broadcasts of old performances, sing-a-longs for kiddos, or how-to's (for adults) with some of your favorite artists, and more.
- LA Opera Connects programs that are providing tools for educators and parents who find themselves in the difficult position of having to provide online educational instruction and activities to children and families.
- LA Opera’s costume shop workers have sewn thousands of face masks to help community members stay safe and healthy.
Your gift today will not only support hundreds of artists but the efforts referenced above.
