One of the preeminent bel canto specialists of our time returns.
After leaving audiences standing on their feet at his 2019 Los Angeles recital, the enormously charismatic Mexican tenor (who was also unforgettable in his 2017 company debut in The Pearl Fishers) returns to the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion. This time, he's back for two extraordinary recital appearances, once again partnering with pianist Ángel Rodríguez for performances of Italian and French arias, intoxicating zarzuela solos and beloved Mexican songs...all guaranteed to have you cheering.

"If the artists' reception was thunderous before intermission, it was deafening at the recital's end. Only when they returned to the stage with music did it cease. That audience wanted them to perform all night... This was a fascinating performance and I hope Camarena will sing opera in L.A. soon."
