LA Opera: Ticie in On Gold Mountain (2022, debut).

Hailed as “witty, adorable, and one to watch” (Lauri’s List), soprano Brooke Iva Lohman is lauded for her clear, high range, crisp, clean fioritura, and moving character portrayals. She has appeared with companies across Southern California including Opera Santa Barbara, Pacific Opera Project, Orange County Opera, Independent Opera Company, Glendale Opera, and Mission Opera. Role highlights include Ophélie in Hamlet, Zerbinetta in Ariadne auf Naxos, Adele in Die Fledermaus, Monica in The Medium, the title role in the West Coast premiere of Rimsky-Korsakov’s Snow Maiden (Snegúrochka), Queen of the Night in The Magic Flute, Olympia in The Tales of Hoffmann, Atalanta in Serse, Madame Herz in Der Schauspieldirektor and Gilda in Rigoletto. Concert soloist work includes Faure’s Requiem, Haydn’s Nelson Mass, Bach’s Ein feste Burg and Cantata No. 51, Rutter’s Requiem, Handel’s Messiah, and Mozart’s Requiem.

In addition to joining LA Opera for On Gold Mountain, Brooke’s upcoming performances for 2022 include Brigitta in Pacific Opera Project’s Iolanta, Servilia in Vox Visceralis’ La Clemenza di Tito, and Visions of Manon: Art of Emotion, a benefit concert outlining Massenet’s Manon held at the Colburn School’s Zipper Hall.

She was recently named the Adult Classical Voice winner for the 2022 Music International Grand Prix California Semi-Finals. She was the Cal-Western Region Winner for the 2020 NATS Artist Awards and was awarded the Irvin Bushman Award, is a recipient of the Anna Sosenko Assist Trust grant, and the Opera Buffs grant. She received her MM from CSU, Northridge and BM from California Baptist University. She lives in beautiful Pasadena, CA with her husband and three cats (Freddie, Felix, and Lili).
