Originally from Cuba and raised in Mexico, pianist and composer Ángel Rodríguez began to study music when he was just five years old.

He further complemented his professional training in piano with teacher Gonzalo Gutierrez, prchestra direction under Gonzalo Romeu, and vocal repertoire with Enrique Jasso. For more than six decades of career he has been a pianist for notable singers of international opera, such as Ramón Vargas, Rolando Villazón, Javier Camarena, Joseph Calleja, Verónica Villarroel, Ailyn Pérez, Pretty Yende, Alfredo Daza, Nadine Sierra, Kate Lindsey, Arturo Chacón, José Bross, among many others; in important venues in Europe, Asia and America, including Palacio de Bellas Artes in México, Teatro Real de Madrid, Termas de Caracalla in Rome, Konzerthaus Berlin, Kennedy Center in Washington, Harris Theater in Chicago, Opernhaus Zürich, and the prestigious Rosenblatt Recitals in London. He participated accompanying the renowned tenor Rolando Villazón in the documentary A Mexican Dream, aired on the Arts Channel. He also performed at the Shanghai World Expo 2010, China, as a soloist for the Chamber Orchestra Kremlin of Moscow, and played for the king and queen of Spain.

Ángel Rodríguez has been a pianist for the Opera de Cuba, and Opera de Bellas Artes in México with more than 90 titles in repertoire, collaborating with super stars such as Plácido Domingo, Luciano Pavarotti, Anna Netrebko, among other celebrities. His record production accomplishments include two albums with the famous tenor Javier Camarena. Currently Ángel Rodríguez teaches master classes and his Clinic of Interpretation and Vocal Style in Mexico, coupled with his work as a recitalist next to great opera figures, and as an arranger and musical producer. He is the founder and president of the Colegio de Arte Vocal, the only institution in Mexico that is dedicated exclusively to the art of singing.
