Performances & events for all ages
Experience opera in a new way.
Live broadcasts under the stars, family-friendly events, interactive opera for children and babies, and informative lectures to give you a deeper understanding of the music, plot, and history of the art form.
Free Opera Simulcasts: Live from the LA Opera stage to a screen near you.
Thanks entirely to the generous support of LA County Supervisors, LA Opera livestreams a high-definition broadcast of world-class performances right from our stage at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion to two locations around Los Angeles County. Click through to learn how you can join us at the Santa Monica Pier or Altadena's Loma Alta Park for a live simulcast performance of West Side Story on Saturday, September 27, 2025.
Learning and Family Events
Dive into opera with in-person lectures at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion and local venues in your community, or join us online from wherever you are.
Before a 50-minute interactive opera performance, join us in the lobby for arts and music activities designed to bring your child into a world of creativity (and we think they'll have a blast, too).
Every year, we come together with our Los Angeles community to celebrate Latino artistry and culture, support small businesses, and enjoy a day of fun for all ages.
Created for babies ages 6–18 months, BambinO tells a story about the joys of parenthood and watching your baby grow up and learn to soar on their own, with sensory props and an entrancing blend of musical styles.
