We have a special treat for you this Sunday, September 22. Right after La Bohème, Maestro James Conlon will sit down with famed writer and director (and proclaimed opera super-fan), Nicholas Meyer, for a talk about writing, his career, and all things opera.
Nicholas Meyer is best known for his best-selling novel The Seven-Per-Cent Solution, and for directing the films Time After Time, two of the Star Trek feature film series, the 1983 television movie The Day After, and the 1999 HBO original movie Vendetta.
Meyer was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay for the film The Seven-Per-Cent Solution (1976), where he adapted his own novel into a screenplay. He has also been nominated for a Satellite Award, three Emmy Awards, and has won four Saturn Awards.
The conversation will be held in the Stern Grand Hall (or our 2nd floor lobby) immediately following the performance, and is already included in your ticket purchase.
See you after the show.
