Exploring the connections between music, wellness and recovery
What if music could help you manage pain or treat anxiety? World renowned soprano Renée Fleming joins scientist, musician, author and record producer Dr. Daniel J. Levitin and Dr. Michael Friedman, Emeritus Chief Executive Officer of City of Hope, to discuss the connections between music and the brain. Listen and learn about the role music and other arts can play in tackling the most difficult diseases and improving health and wellness. The discussion will feature live musical performances by LA Opera’s Domingo-Colburn-Stein Young Artists.
This event is the second in a series of public conversations with Renée Fleming exploring the connections between music, wellness and recovery, as part of LA Opera’s ongoing collaborations with Los Angeles medical, veteran and health partners.
