Remember being little and wanting to explore every bit of a theater? We do too.

Due to the statewide effort to curb spread of the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) all Open Door Days performances for Spring 2020 are canceled. LA Opera takes safety and health very seriously, and while these cancellations are unfortunate, we are eager to do all that is necessary to ensure the safety of our fellow community members, staff, and students. We will be in touch as soon as we have any new updates to share, and are deeply grateful to you for your understanding. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions.

Open Door Days invites elementary students (and their teachers) to do just that. First, a magical, interactive opera performance that’s written just for them. After the show, the performers take them on a tour of the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion. Ready to explore the opera? The doors are open.

Things to know:

  • Performances start at 10:15 and last 45 minutes.
  • The tour begins right after the show and lasts about 45 minutes.
