Saturday, November 7 from 9am-3pm
We have a new favorite opera: The Anonymous Lover by Joseph Bologne, Chevalier de Saint-Georges - a contemporary of Mozart and one of the first Black classical composers known to history. Explore this newly (re)discovered operatic jewel with us. The day will feature conversations with the production's conductor, James Conlon, stage director Bruce Lemon, Jr., dramaturg Dr. Ariane Helou and more. Get the inside scoop on this charming 1780 chamber opera before its LA Opera premiere on November 14.
