IT Department: Applications Administrator
LA Opera is seeking a self-motivated Applications Administrator to join its IT Department. This individual will be responsible for managing and supporting a comprehensive portfolio of applications that include, Tessitura, website CMS and MS Office 365 as well as various departmental custom applications. Duties will include: daily administration of applications and systems environments, providing end-user support, monitoring and maintenance of third-party IT contracts and services, assessing potential IT risks and best practice recommendations, assisting with departmental budgeting. The successful candidate will have 3+ years’ experience in application, systems and database administration, and design and implementation. Candidate must demonstrate proficiency in enterprise systems, website CMS and knowledge of e-commerce systems, with a preference for Tessitura. Candidate should also have proven technical support experience with DNS, AD, virtualization, cybersecurity, PCI DSS compliance, project management (SDLC), SQL and report writing, preferably with Microsoft SQL Server (2008R2, 2016) and SSRS. Qualified candidates must be analytical, have strong problem-solving abilities, have effective communication and negotiation skills, high business acumen with the ability to not only work independently but in a team setting. A bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in information technology or computer science/engineering. Prior work experience with a performing arts and not-for-profit environment is a plus.
