Barbara Donner has been a stage manager at LA Opera since 1990, and has worked on more than 75 productions.

After graduating from the world-renowned University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, Barbara quickly moved into the world of professional opera, working with San Francisco Opera, San Diego Opera, Opera Pacific, Opera Theatre of Saint Louis and Portland Opera. Barbara has worked with the LA Philharmonic, stage managing their productions of the Mozart / DaPonte trilogy—Don Giovanni, The Marriage of Figaro and Cosi fan tutte—under the baton of Gustavo Dudamel, as well as Philip Glass’ The Civil Wars, Michael Tilson-Thomas’ semi-staged productions of Beethoven’s Missa Solemnis and Bernstein's On the Town, as well as productions of A Chorus Line, Spamalot, Rent, The Producers, Guys and Dolls, South Pacific and Chicago at The Hollywood Bowl. Barbara looks forward to many more seasons at LA Opera.
