Melody Moore has appeared on many of the leading opera stages of the world.

Important engagements include appearances with LA Opera in the title role of Tosca; San Francisco Opera as Tosca, Susan Rescorla in Heart of a Soldier, Mimì in La Bohème and the Countess in The Marriage of Figaro; Houston Grand Opera as Julie in Show Boat, Marta in the American premiere of Weinberg’s The Passenger, the title role in Carmen, Dorabella in Così fan tutte, and as Freia in Das Rheingold; English National Opera as Mimi and as Marguerite in Faust; New York City Opera as Rita Clayton in the New York premiere of Stephen Schwartz’s Séance on a Wet Afternoon and as Regine St. Laurent in Rufus Wainwright’s Prima Donna; LA Opera in productions of The Broken Jug and The Dwarf; and at the Washington National Opera in the title role of Catán’s Florencia en el Amazonas. In 2017, she sang the title role in Katya Kabanova with Seattle Opera. In the 2015/16 season, she appeared at L’Opéra de Montréal as Cio-Cio-San in Madama Butterfly and she returned to Washington National Opera for the world premiere of the revised version of Philip Glass’ Appomattox. Also, in the Washington National Opera season, she joined Artistic Director Francesca Zambello and Music Director Philippe Auguin for an epic presentation of the Ring cycle, in which she appears in Das Rheingold, Die Walküre and Götterdämmerung. A deeply personal program is presented in recital at Carnegie Hall and in Chicago under the auspices of Collaborative Arts Institute of Chicago. Highlights of past seasons feature Macbeth and The Flying Dutchman at the Glimmerglass Festival, The Passenger at the Lincoln Center Festival, title roles of Manon Lescaut at New Orleans Opera and Tosca with the Lyric Opera of Kansas City, Pamina in The Magic Flute at Opéra de Bordeaux, and Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni with the opera companies of Atlanta and Denver.
