Opera Tales

Opera always begins with a story and LA Opera celebrates the power of the story and the joy of music through its hugely successful Opera Tales productions. Join LA Opera for this fun, high energy show as it performs at libraries in partnership with the County of Los Angeles Public Library.

Perfect for the whole family, LA Opera is performing German Opera Tales in May 2019. Travel with four professional opera singers as the “opera pals” who perform musical moments from such German opera stories as Wagner's Das Rheingold, Mozart's The Abduction from the Seraglio and Humperdinck's Hansel and Gretel.

Library Audience

Generous funding for the 2018 Opera Tales is provided by Los Angeles County Supervisor Hilda Solis, 1st District. The Opera Tales partnership between LA Opera and the County of Los Angeles Public Library was established by former Supervisor Don Knabe in 2006.
