Amber Liekhus is thrilled to return to LA Opera in this beautiful production of Candide. She made her LA Opera debut as Lily in Porgy and Bess in 2007 and returned as Donna Curson in ¡Figaro! (90210) in 2015. She is a versatile singer whose "...voice is at once regal and affectionate" (Los Angeles Times). She was a finalist in the Palm Springs Opera Guild Competition and an award recipient from the Opera Buffs. Additional opera credits include the title role in Suor Angelica with Opera Festival di Roma, the Old Woman in David Lang's Difficulty of Crossing a Field at Long Beach Opera, Lily in Porgy and Bess at San Francisco Opera , and both the Countess in The Marriage of Figaro and Miss Pinkerton in The Old Maid and the Thief with Smothers Theatre.
