Alfredo Daza

Mexican baritone Alfredo Daza is well known for his interpretations of the Italian repertoire, which he expanded in the last few years, according to his vocal development with several Verdi roles such as Francesco Moor in I Masnadieri (2015 Konzerthaus Berlin), Rodrigo in Don Carlo (since 2008 at Staatsoper Berlin), Ford in Falstaff (Staatsoper Berlin, Staatsoper Hamburg, Teatro Communale di Bologna) and Renato in Un Ballo in Maschera (since 2009 at Staatsoper Berlin). His interpretation of Giorgio Germont in La Traviata, which he debuted in 2006, brought him to the Staatsoper Hamburg and the Tokyo National Theatre in 2015 where he sang the part in a production directed by Phillip Boussard and conducted by Yves Abel. He sang the role of Scarpia in Tosca at Theater St Gallen in 2016, a role he debuted in 2012. This year he debuted in yet another Verdi role, Paolo Albiani, opposite Placido Domingo in Simon Boccanegra at Staatsoper Berlin. (AlfredoDaza.com)
