LA Opera's award-winning Opera for Educators series explores opera from an interdisciplinary point of view. Gain insight about opera and the historical context in which it was created. Discuss opera as history and art, as well as language and social commentary. Learn all about the stars and artists of the opera world, as well as the production and business of opera. Enjoy recitals and rehearsals, and receive special opera news updates.
All sessions take place on Saturdays from 9:00am to 3:30pm at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion.

Enrollment in programs does not include admission to main stage opera productions.
$20 per session or $105 (25%) discount if purchasing entire series before September 6, 2014
Attend three classes and two operas or attend three classes and complete two opera lesson plans for one salary point. Two salary points available for this program. Opera for Educators can be combined with Opera 101 to achieve additional salary points.
