Opera Tales Tour

Opera always begins with a story and LA Opera celebrates the power of the story and the joy of music through its hugely successful Opera Tales productions. Join LA Opera for this fun, high energy show as it tours to libraries in partnership with the County of Los Angeles Public Library. 


Celebrating one of opera's favorite characters - Figaro, LA Opera is touring FIGARO OPERA TALES in May 2016. Featuring four professional opera singers, these “opera pals” perform musical moments from such Figaro opera stories as The Barber of Seville,The Marriage of Figaro, and The Ghosts of Versailles.

The Opera Tales partnership between
LA Opera and the County of Los Angeles Public Library was established by Los Angeles County Supervisor Don Knabe, Fourth District. Generous funding for the Opera Tales tour is provided by Supervisor Don Knabe and the Flora L. Thornton Foundation.


Requirements: Program is open only to County of Los Angeles Public Libraries.
