Aleta Braxton, who performed in LA Opera's 1986 inaugural production of Otello, has appeared in more than 120 productions and was a soloist in Porgy and Bess. She toured as a soloist with the Roger Wagner Chorale and McNeil Jubilee Singers and has sung with the LA Master Chorale for several seasons as a chorister and soloist. Her list of film soundtracks include The Lorax, Cowboys and Aliens, John Carter and TV appearances such as Malcom in the Middle and Glee. Ms. Braxton has also directed productions for Lyric Opera of Los Angeles including the West Coast premiere of Wagner's first opera Die Feen. One of her favorite highlights with LA Opera was performing in Tosca with both of her sons, who were singing with the Los Angeles Children's Chorus.
