Mezzo-soprano

Mezzo-soprano Renée Rapier is a former member of LA Opera's Domingo-Colburn-Stein Young Artist Program, and made her company debut in 2011 as Stephano in Romeo et Juliette. She is a second-year Adler Fellow at the San Francisco Opera, where her appearances have included Giovanna in Rigoletto and Meg Page in Falstaff. In the summer of 2014, she performs the role of Cornelia in Giulio Cesare with Wolf Trap Opera Company. She has performed with the San Francisco Opera Orchestra, the Northern Iowa Symphony Orchestra, and the Chautauqua Symphony Orchestra. She is a frequent performer with the Boston-based early music ensemble La Donna Musicale, and appeared on their latest CD, Anna Bon: La virtuosa di Venezia. In 2013, she performed Lucretia in Britten's The Rape of Lucretia at the Colburn School under the baton of James Conlon.
