A lyric mezzo-soprano as well as an actor, Cindy has performed in theaters across the country. She recently played Blanche DuBois for North Coast Repertory, and nursing experience includes Ratched in One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest. Highlights: The Most Happy Fella (Rosabella), Guys and Dolls (Sarah), Lend Me a Tenor (Maggie), Hello, Dolly! (Irene Molloy), The Sound of Music (Mother Abbess) and Kate in Kiss Me, Kate! opposite her favorite leading man, husband Greg Zerkle. Colin Graham directed her in the world premiere of Silver Skates. She has shared stages with Julie Andrews, Robert Goulet, and Sally Struthers. Film and television: Christmas with the Kranks, PBS’ Great Performances, Surviving Christmas.  Soundtracks: Godzilla, Shaggy Dog, Despicable Me 2. Her versatility encompasses being a soloist for Handel's Messiah with the Ojai Youth Symphony and singing jazz backup in New York, Los Angeles and Las Vegas. She sings at Disney Hall and the Hollywood Bowl with the LA Master Chorale under Grant Gershon, and proudly serves as a Councilor for Actors’ Equity Association.
