Tenor Abdellah Lasri was a 2014 Operalia finalist. A native of Rabat, Morocco, he studied at the Conservatory in Isère and the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse in Paris. From 2009 to 2011, he was a member of the International Opera Studio of the Staatsoper Berlin. His appearances with Opera Graz include Nemorino in L’Elisir d’Amore and Fenton in Falstaff, and he performed Edmondo in Manon Lescaut at the Dresden Semperoper. Since the 2013/14 season, he has been engaged at the Aalto-Theatre in Essen, where he performed the title role of Werther, a role he performed this year at the Bastille Opera in Paris.
